How to Play Guitar?
The path to get the right sort of motivation to play your guitar is to perform in front of people you know. Do you like to play in front of people and still love the act? The affair need not be a conventional one, for you to play.
The way you could start with your guitar performance is to set up a reduced show in the comfort of your own home. Your own family fellow members could be the fellow members of the audience. Several places can be created at home where you play your music and motivate friends and other family fellow members to come up and play their own instruments as well. Some amount of preparation is needed for getting together a presentation and you need to prepare for it too.
But what happens if you detest the idea of performing? Well you can really practice the art of playing on your guitar without people present and one way is to use your imagination and make out that you perform in front of others. If you want to help your vision a bit you can put empty chairs in front of you representing the audience. On such an occasion you have to exercise self control and play those pieces in your actual program from start to end so if you make a mistake in front of the audience, what would you do? You might decide not to stop at a fault and carry on with your playing in this type of quiet and passive show. What will happen is that you produce self confidence in your power to handle faults and you will also find weaknesses you can improve upon in your guitar playing.
You could even tape your playing so that you can inspect it later for faults etc. The recording program need not be made into something elaborate, as you have your cell phone and mp3/4 player, which can make these exercises very easy. Making a recording is similar to having a critic in the audience and listening to other musicians is also beneficial. Always be ambitious with your guitar playing and you can reach higher echelons when you listen to other players who are better than you. You must exercise the same kind of passion, which you would show in a playing when you rehearse you guitar pieces, or learning songs. Along with your music, you must master the art of exhibiting your attitude, body language and stress level management. The spirit of joy and delight felt during your rehearse sessions would percolate to the member of the audience when you perform in front of them.
